Signing up to help

Your school's committee has sent you a link to their volunteer rota. You can pick a slot in under a minute with just your name. You don't need an account or a password.

1. Pick a slot

Open the link. You'll see the event, then every job and time. Where there's space, there's a Volunteer? button. Tap the one you'd like.

Tick Only show slots with space to hide the ones that are already full.

2. Add your details

Type your name. Your email address is optional, but it's worth adding: it's how you get a confirmation with a calendar invite, a reminder the day before, and a link to cancel if your plans change. Your phone number is only for the organisers, in case they need to reach you on the day.

Would you rather other parents didn't see your name on the rota? Tick Hide your name from other volunteers. The organisers still see it.

Tap Volunteer! and you're on the rota.

Can't make it after all?

Use Cancel this slot in your confirmation or reminder email. The organisers are told straight away, so they can find someone else. If you've only just signed up and spotted a mistake, Cancel my sign-up is on the page as soon as you've signed up.

To swap to a different slot, cancel the one you have and sign up to the new one.

Already on Upfayre?

If your email address already has an Upfayre account, we'll ask you to sign in first. The slot then goes on your own account, where you can see it next to everything else you're helping with.

If you don't have an account and would like one, the confirmation email has a Create your account link. Anything you've signed up for moves across by itself.
